English is the official language of the islands, although it may be spoken with a heavy local accent. Patois, a mixture of English, African and Spanish, and Spanish itself are also spoken.

• BUS:
  Public buses on St. Thomas runs about every 20 minutes between 6am and 9pm. They are generally very good (with air conditioning) and can be picked up on most major roadways throughout the island. For more information call (340) 774-5678. More limited bus service is available on St. John, running generally out of Cruz Bay. By signalling, you can pick these buses up along the road.
